<Update label="v26.3.4" description="September 10, 2026">
  ### Redesigned data manager

  The **Data** tab for databases now organizes the object browser and its contents into a single
  workspace, with a clearer hierarchy and better use of space on desktop and mobile.

  SQL tables, MongoDB collections and Redis keys got easier-to-find actions, explicit filters,
  compact summaries and simple pagination with range, page size and current position. The repeated
  header and unnecessary color highlights were also removed.

  ### Fix: silent console when reinstalling dependencies during a fast restart

  When restarting an application after changing its runtime (or any restart that reinstalls
  dependencies), if the installation finished quickly the dashboard console showed nothing of it —
  no start notice, no installer lines. The app came back online already ready, with no explanation
  on screen in the meantime.

  The console now detects when an installation is in progress during a restart and streams its logs
  live, the same way it already did when creating an application.

  ### Change the language of an existing application

  Previously, choosing the wrong language when creating an application was final: the only way out
  was recreating the app from scratch, which erased its volume and entire deploy history. The
  runtime can now be changed at any time, under the app's **General → Environment** settings.

  Before confirming the switch, the dashboard shows the real risks of the change:

  * it only takes effect from the **next restart** — the running container stays on the old runtime
    until then;
  * the **entry file** and **start command** don't change automatically: an `index.js` written for
    Node won't run as a Python application, for example;
  * the **runtime version** resets to the recommended version for the new language, because the old
    version may not exist there;
  * no project file is deleted by this operation.

  The new runtime's dependencies are installed automatically on the first restart after the switch —
  that already happened and still does. What was missing was space: the old runtime's packages (a
  `node_modules` folder after switching to Python, for example) stayed on the volume taking up plan
  quota, with no automatic reinstall or removal. Now, in the "restart now?" dialog that appears
  after saving the switch, an optional checkbox lets you delete known artifact directories from the
  language being left behind before installing the new ones — never a project code file.

  ### Snapshots keep the project name

  Every snapshot now keeps the **name the project had at the moment it was taken**. In the snapshot
  list, opening a project shows, besides the date, the name it used on that date — useful when the
  project was renamed and a two-week-old snapshot belongs to an "api-staging" that's now called
  something else. When the name hasn't changed, nothing is repeated: only the difference shows.

  Snapshots of **already-deleted** projects also stop showing up as a code. Previously, deleting the
  project removed the name from the list, leaving only the identifier; now the last known name
  stays, with a marker that the project no longer exists.

  Snapshots taken before this change remain without their own name — today's name wasn't written
  retroactively onto old dates, because that would record information that wasn't true on that day.
