GET
Returns a page of the request log of the site of an application, with one entry per request: status, times, origin, device and the request ID. Use it to inspect a single visit or to find the exact requests behind a number in Errors or Performance. It takes the same filters as the other analytics routes and pages with a cursor. It is the data of Requests and needs a plan with the request log (Pro and above).
string
required
The application ID. If the application belongs to a workspace, pass its ID in the workspace_id query parameter.
string
If the application belongs to a workspace, the workspace’s ID. Required for workspace members acting on an application they don’t own.
string
Start of the window (ISO 8601). Default: 24 hours before end.
string
End of the window (ISO 8601). Default: now. It cannot be in the future.
string
Opaque cursor of the previous page. Send it with the same window, filters and order; any other cursor is refused with VALIDATION_ERROR.
string
default:"desc"
Order by time: desc (newest first) or asc. Default desc.
integer
default:"50"
Requests per page, from 1 to 100. Default 50.
The window is at most 30 days long and cannot start earlier than the history of the plan (7 or 30 days, see Plans and limits).

Filters

Every dimension below is also a filter, and all of them can be combined: each one narrows every part of the answer. Each takes one value, exactly as it appears in a breakdown entry or a request of the log, so a value you read in a response can be sent back unchanged. Send (none) to keep only the requests that have nothing for the dimension.
string
Country of the visitor, ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 (BR).
string
IATA code of the edge location that answered (GRU).
string
Hostname the visitor asked for: the subdomain of the application or one of its domains. Only hosts of the application are accepted.
string
Path of the request, without the query string. It is a prefix: /api matches /api, /api/users and /apix.
string
HTTP method (GET, POST…).
string
HTTP status the visitor received (404), or a class: 2xx, 3xx, 4xx or 5xx.
string
HTTP version: HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2 or HTTP/3.
string
Kind of device: desktop, mobile or tablet.
string
Operating system of the visitor (Windows, iOS…).
string
Browser of the visitor (Chrome, Safari…).
string
Host of the page that linked to the request (google.com). (none) is a direct visit, with no referer.
string
Autonomous system number of the visitor’s network (28573).
string
IP address of the visitor.
string
Kind of content answered (html, json, css, js, png…).
string
Whether the edge answered from its cache: hit, miss, dynamic, bypass, expired, revalidated…
string
Category of a verified bot (Search Engine Crawler…). (none) is a visitor that is not a verified bot.

Pagination

Read the first page without cursor. While the answer has a cursor, call again with the same start, end, filters and order plus that cursor. Fix start and end for the whole walk: with the default end (now) the window moves between calls. The page is complete when cursor is null.

Notes

  • Requires the apps:read scope when called with an API key. Workspace members need permission to read the application.
  • Pro and above. On Starter the call fails with PLAN_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_WEB_ANALYTICS_REQUESTS. The plan flag is features.web_analytics_requests in List Plans.
  • Sampling. When traffic is high the log is a sample of the requests, not all of them: sampled is true and a specific request may not be in it.
  • Delay. Data refreshes about every 5 minutes, so the newest requests can take a few minutes to show up. If the latest data cannot be read right now, an earlier answer may come back with stale: true (check generated_at); otherwise the call fails with ANALYTICS_BUSY.
  • Privacy. Vertra Cloud stores nothing about visitors; it keeps only per-app totals (counts, visits, bytes, error rates and response times) for up to 31 days, deleted with the app. No IP, path, query string or user agent is kept. ip and query come back unmasked; masking is a choice of the client that shows them. See Privacy.
